Care instructions
How to clean the Pizza Oven:
- A run at top temperatures will do the hard work for you, burning off any excess flour or remnants of food
- Always give Ooni Karu time to cool completely before cleaning and never expose warm parts to moisture
- You can wipe down the inside with a dry paper towel if you need to
- When cool, the outside of Ooni Karu can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried completely before using a regular stainless steel cleaner to remove any marks or smudges
How to clean the Stone Baking Board:
- Clean by running Ooni Karu at top temperatures
- If you need to remove hard-to-budge debris from the stone, use the Ooni Pizza Oven Brush
- Only cook pizza and dry, bread-based dishes directly on the stone baking board
- The stone baking board is not dishwasher safe

This is an amazing thing. We have only just got it and it is going to take some practice but we have lots of ideas and support from Ooni including a Facebook community.
Just note the oven does not come with a 'peel' which is the flat sheet for putting the pizzas in and taking them out of the oven, so you need to buy that too.

After a little practice, this oven is making the most awesome pizza. It's all about getting the dough right. After that, it's a breeze. In my humble opinion, it's better than most restaurant pizzas by a mile.

I have used the Karu with the gas attachment about 10 times, and it really does achieve what it claims - fast, quality pizza at home. Using wood or charcoal is its own special thing, but gas is great for speedy setup and consistent heat.

Going from overextending our kitchen oven to try to reach acceptable pizza oven levels to this little oven did not deliver great results from the first pizza, but after only making about 4 pizzas the mechanics started to make more sense and now I am looking forward to getting the most out of this pizza oven. Absolutely awesome purchase! Used it twice in one week already and the best pizza we have had in years. Super easy to figure out and get going, I use my own dough recipe, and the only tricky part is learning to use the paddle to slide pizza in smoothly. Fantastic, compact, great design, heats up quickly, easy to clean, and just all round an amazing purchase.

Our Ooni has become an integral part of family life. Not only do we use it on our new traditional pizza night with the kids but also for new flavour tasting nights with friends.
