Karu 16 Wood & Charcoal Fired Pizza Oven, 40cm

Bought this product for my Husband's birthday.

He absolutely loves it. The fact that we can move it from our bar area to the boma area, to the way it cooks and the way it looks.

We are extremely happy all around.

Super easy to put together, and the cover fits well.
Even fits in our pantry, with collapsible legs.

This is my first home pizza oven. Before buying, I did a lot of research on Youtube as this unit is not cheap, but it's so worth it.

It's really easy to set up and comes packaged like an Apple product, took 5 minutes to assemble and 30 minutes to get to the temperature. At 450 Degrees C, it takes 1m20sec to cook a pizza, it's amazing!

Two things you'll also need are the 40cm flat pizza peel or something similar or you won't be able to get the pizza in and out of the oven. The Pizza turning peel is also very, very handy. I initially didn't get it, but after two pizza sessions, I ordered one which makes turning the pizza so easy.

The infrared thermometer is nice to have, but the temperature gauge you get with the oven is sufficient I believe. One other item I would recommend is the Ooni pizza cutter rocker, it's brilliant and cuts the pizza super easily.

The Ooni is brilliant, you won't regret your purchase, I'm super happy with mine. Make sure to watch some Youtube videos the first time, it just makes it so much easier - our pizzas were perfect from the first attempt. Read more

If you are serious about making homemade pizzas, this is the real deal. Super easy to assemble and equally easy to operate. The system works well for its intended purpose, you get pizzas and a variety of other products out quickly.

For more stable heat control, I do recommend using the gas attachment. Overall, very satisfied with the craftsmanship and our pizzas have a much more authentic look, feel and taste to them. Read more

I bought this product about two years ago as it was advertised as a dual fuel product both charcoal/wood and gas. I have continued enquiring about the gas attachment and for two years I have been given the run around by Ooni with a plethora of excuses why the gas attachment was taking longer to develop (which is a patent lie). In the end instead of making good on their undertakings they have denied that they have any obligation to in fact honour their own undertakings. This is the company whose product you are buying.
