  Although the serrated edge of the All-Purpose Serrated Utility Knife is inspired by the juicy, sun-ripened tomatoes that southern Italy is famous for, consider this nimble knife an effective slicer for almost anything in your kitchen — from fresh and aged cheeses to cured meats, fruits, vegetables, soft dinner rolls, and crusty baguettes.
  The serrated blade slices cleanly and elegantly without crushing or tearing, and a full bolster — the thicker area between the blade and the handle on forged knives — offers added protection for your fingers. The custom-grained Calabrian olive wood handle is naturally water-resistant and antibacterial, and its organic shape fits comfortably in hands of any size.

  Each Amici knife pays homage to Wüsthof's collaboration with Castello di Serragiumenta — a 16th century castle in the Calabrian countryside.   Dishwasher Instructions

  Although some Wüsthof products are dishwasher safe, we do not recommend that your knives and scissors be put in the dishwasher. Blades can knock together, damaging them, and if not washed soon after use, corrosive food particles can damage the blade. Rather wash your knives as soon as possible after each use with warm water and a little detergent, rinse carefully and dry with a towel.

  Knife Sharpening

  All knives require regular sharpening. Wüsthof manufactures sharpening options that suit all of their knives, including whetstones, honing steels and pull-through sharpeners. See the sharpening range here.
