An awesome tortilla press that has made life so much easier. It presses both small corn and flour tortillas with ease. It is a pleasure to use, easy to clean and store.

Worth its weight!

I purchased this tortilla press as I could not find corn tortillas readily available in stores and decided to make my own. Was feeling a tad nervous but this press makes my tortilla making a breeze. Very heavy (but you want that in a press) and well balanced. I feel that this addition to my kitchen is going to be around for a loooooong time!

After the 2nd / 3rd press the pin at the handle end is bent, not very strong, and cannot get the pin out is so bent. The product is overpriced.

I had an aluminium press before that lasted all of five uses before the handle broke. This one is sturdy and feels like the business. It works perfectly. I love it.

Do not let the 'good' reviews fool you. The press is utter garbage at best. Sure, it presses, but therein lies the problems.

First the size. It is simply too small to press into a decent flatbread; or anything similar. You could press as far as it goes, then take out the result and roll it further, but then it defeats the whole point. I had to do this with my complete batch of flatbreads.

Next how it presses. It is totally counterproductive as it does not press equally downwards but at an angle forcing you to place the ball, not in the middle, but more to the one end to compensate for this. Also, the final bit, you are damaging the lower part of the handle.

The handle. It will over time take a bit of damage, in fact, some of its coating came off into one of my flatbreads which I had to cut out, because no one wants to eat black particles wondering if it's healthy.

Finally, it is just flimsy at best, to be honest. It looks and feels like cheap coast iron, mechanics, and coating.

Would I recommend this? Not at all. I would rather tell people to give it a hard pass and look for an actual decent press and not fall into the 'good' review trap ending up with something that is not a good tool for the job it is selling itself as. Read more
