  Placement & Usage:

  • Use eco-friendly firelighters instead of accelerants like petrol or lighting fluid
  • Only use seasoned (dry) hardwood and add a maximum of two logs at a time to prevent overloading
  • When extinguishing the fire, use sand or a fine mist spray from a hose - avoid directly pouring water onto the fire
  • Keep a bucket of sand, water or a hose nearby to manage any sparks or embers
  • Extinguish any embers that land on the ground immediately

  • Rust spots can be removed with lemon juice and then sealed with a natural vegetable oil
  • On site touch ups are possible using heat resistant paint which can be purchased from a hardware store
  • Minor distortion of the fire pit is possible with the heat and does not interfere with the usage
