This mandolin is great for slicing anything! including fingers - use the handguard. Don't be like me :)

Love my mandoline, it works really well with all the fruit and veg we've tried it on. Easy to hold & clean. It is flat so doesn't take up much storage space. Negatives — it doesn't slice cheese (like gouda) very effectively. I am pleased with my purchase.

Easy to handle and to wash, this is our second one. The last one was about 10 years old and the handle had become damaged from putting it too near heat — our own mistake — so we found its exact replacement and bought 2! Light and easy to work with.

Great product. I love that it has different levels to achieve a variety of slicing thicknesses. Paper thin etc. Easy to use but definitely use the safety holder - the blades are incredibly sharp.

This is a nifty little mandoline that doesn’t take up too much space in a full kitchen.

However — it has one annoying design flaw: when using the holder as one gets towards the ‘end’ of whatever one is slicing, the holder rides along the side of the tool and changes the thickness setting. Sometimes this causes the whole device to jam up because the last slice gets wedged between the blade and the front feeder surface as the thickness is reduced.

In general, the mechanism for setting thickness is also quite ‘wobbly’ — with slices coming out variably according to how much pressure is exerted on the front feeder plate.

If you need a mandoline for frequent use and large batches — or if consistent thickness is essential — it may be worth investing in something more robust. Read more

I like the non-slip edge to hold against a pan while slicing, the slim design and easy way it cleans. The blade is so sharp you wont even feel the veggies cutting...or your fingers! Be sure to use the included veggie gripper.

I'm enjoying the slicer, but with a few reservations. The blade is very sharp and slices well. But the spikes on the holder don't hold onto the food being sliced very well, so I hold the food to cut until it gets small, then switch to the holder for the last few slices.

I also find I have to keep a finger on the edge of the slice thickness guide to stop it from moving while I am slicing.
I'm sorry I didn't spend a bit more and get a more robust mandoline. Read more

Absolutely enjoy this tool! Used it at a restaurant I worked at and realised I needed it at home as well. So I got my own and it does all the work necessary. Great grip handle for the vegetables so you don’t slice your fingers, and three blade settings for that perfect, even slices to make your dish look professional. A must-have for the kitchen!

A fabulous kitchen implement. But, never slice without the holder. I have made that mistake and the sharp blade slices skin like a knife in hot butter! Would recommend it to any discerning cook but keep away from children!
