I would advise Smeg to test their products for durability far more stringently as the coating should not chip, the lid has to be pushed to close and this is how the chips are going to continue to appear.

Aesthetically very nice and it is specifically advertised for gas stoves but although it is a Smeg stove gas top - black marks are already appearing on the blue coating around the Read more

We are very fortunate to have solar energy but, you cannot use an electric kettle as it's too many KWz. Using a kettle on the hob not only saves a lot of electricity it's also 24/7 which is very useful for a wife who drinks 6+ cups of tea a day!!

It's not as quick as an electric, tends to make more noise as it rattles on the hob as it warms up, however, it's fit for today's purpose and looks attractive. Read more

Very disappointed with the product. The paint came off where the lid fits on and the base already has rust on it.

Cleaning the product is very difficult once there are marks on it. Saved all my Discovery miles to buy this product and it was a waste of my "money".

Will NOT recommend anyone to buy this product.

I have wanted a beautiful stovetop kettle for years and always "window shopped" online. I finally settled on a powder blue SMEG Whistling Kettle, and I must admit I am thrilled.

Pros: Utterly beautiful, pretty whistle, great quality and quick boil.
Cons: I had to choose only 1 colour!
