Care instructions
Cleaning:
- Clean your Silpat mat with a damp, soft sponge, then rinse with clean water
- Shake to remove excess water and dry in open air
- A mild detergent or soap may be used if needed
- Note: a slight oily residue after washing is normal, as is a slight discolouration
- Strong flavoured foods may leave a trace scent on the Silpat
- Once clean and dry, store the Silpat flat
Caution:
- Do not use scrapers or brushes to clean the Silpat
- Never cut the Silpat or cut on it
- Do not fold the Silpat
- Do not grease the Silpat, it doesn't need it
- Never use a cut or ripped Silpat as the fiberglass mesh material could migrate into the food
- Avoid using automatic dishwashers, as they may harm it
- Do not use Silpat with a broiler, a grill, or place directly on the bottom of an oven
- Don't let the mat touch the sides of the oven

Wouldn't want to live without it
The Silpat is truly a non-stick baking mat which needs no greasing. From pizza, pies and bread rolls to biscuits, meringues and melted sugar, my Silpats are used very often. Anything that I used to put on a baking tray now goes into the oven on a silicone mat. Best purchase ever
On the first night after I bought the Silpat, I really put it to the test: I made toffee apples, chocolate bark and macarons. All of these lifted off the mat as easy as pie. Amazing.

Love it! Love it!
I don't know how we have survived without this product for so long. Nothing sticks to this mat! We have made biscuits, cinnamon buns, and roasted honey peanuts. Very easy to wash and store. Why doesn't every kitchen have one? It makes one feel like a professional cook!

Would never be without one again!
These are truly amazing & I wonder how I roasted meats & veggies with such ease & minimal mess before!!! I just wish there was a handy storage sleeve for them - mine get wrapped in brown paper & hidden in a drawer so as not be abused by unknowing hands!!!!! Love them!!!! If my French friend Kathy's maid had not put hers under her doggies bowls,,, I would never have tried them!! Amazing!!

If in doubt, get it!
Love the mat. It is a great way of baking without adding any oil/fat to prevent the food from sticking to the pan/baking dish. No more scrubbing burnt sugar off pans for hours and hours you are done baking. Makes life much easier after the fun of baking is over.
