Watery watery watery
This is not gel. It's watery and weak. I made cookie frosting and the colour literally leaked right out. With the colouring gel from another brand, you need two, perhaps 4 drops in a cup of royal icing to get a nice colour. This needs damn near 10 drops. Will not buy again.

Great colour!
I made pink macarons with this gel food colouring and the colour was perfect. I googled the texture of the gel food colouring and this one is not watery at all. If you do get a watery one I suggest sending it back, if you feel it is too watery or you are not sure, compare it to normal food colouring, you will notice the difference of watery vs gel (remember it is not a paste). Such great colour!
I bought the electric green, orange, purple and black for an epic Halloween cake. This colour is amazing! Yes, you may need to use more than 3 or 4 drops, but I’m so happy with the colour, it’s so bright and vibrant! So far I’ve made three 4-layer cakes, with black icing, and they’ve come out beautifully. With loads of colour left in the bottle still too. And for the price, I have zero regrets!

Stunning colour and range
Used to colour my fondant and royal icing — only used a limited number of drops and the colour mixed in fantastically giving me a full rich bright orange. Would certainly recommend this product to any baker.

Good product
We really like the Barco food colouring products. The turquoise is more on the greeny side... so use sparingly to get the colour you want.
