As far as salad spinners go it is really pricey, but it is good quality and much larger than most. Had one before (after 10 years, it did not work 100%) and replaced it with an identical product based on my previous experience.

I had the small Oxo salad spinner - the small size is good for a single person or couple. This bigger size is better for a family. I love this salad spinner, I use it almost daily, it’s so easy to use, convenient, easy to clean, and spins leaves sufficiently.

With all the good reviews, I expected more... the spinner is lovely in the sense that you just push the button.

But it doesn't dry my lettuce as well as my previous salad spinner. I still have to dry it with a paper towel before I can use it, and that is after letting it spin 10 times.

I've been trying to find a good salad spinner for years and I've finally found THE one. It's sturdy, excellent quality, big enough for two bags of lettuce, the push mechanism works brilliantly — I can't rate it highly enough.

It's a beautifully made product, but the spinner is terrible. It can't spin fast enough to dry the leaves. I miss my older spinner than had a handle & a string, you could pull multiple times to get it to spin faster.
The idea behind the push handle is great, but it just doesn't work :(

The salad spinner is unmistakably OXO. Great quality, attention to detail and simple elegance. Note that this salad spinner is large! Great for prepping leafy greens (spinach, lettuce etc.) for a large family / get together or a number of meals, bit of an overkill for smaller servings, which is why I also ordered the mini-salad /herb spinner :)
