Made of clear recycled glass with a slight green tinge, this unique gin and tonic glass with a solid formed glass stem is ethically handmade in Eswatini.

About Ngwenya Glass

Ngwenya Glass in Eswatini recycles approximately 12 tons of glass per month, which is used to hand-make their 100% recycled glass products. Over 1 ton of waste newspaper is used for packaging material and their greywater and 50 000L rainwater catchments are used in the factory. Almost 10 500L per month of purified old engine oil and KFC oil is used to fuel the furnaces. Additionally, Ngwenya Glass has installed 550 solar panels which subsidise 40% of their electricity usage. For the past 30 years, Ngwenya Glass has paid a percentage of their worldwide sales to the Mkhaya Game Reserve and they also support numerous orphanages and charities in Eswatini and South Africa.

Well designed and perfect for a gin & tonic, recycled glass makes it environmentally friendly, heavy but not thick, the stem is perfect, it's stable and good to grip. I have given them to a number of younger people as gifts and they love them.

We love the shape of these bold glasses, they are different to the usual. Chunky yet elegant G&T glasses with a difference. Love that they are recycled cooldrink bottles and like the greenish hue. Makes a super gift.
