This is good if you like your lunches quite small and you have another bag to put snacks etc in.

Good quality but I think it would be better if it was larger.

I was so pleased with this lunchbox. It is the ideal size for a school backpack and I'm sure this will last at least till my grandchild goes to High school.

I treated myself with a new lunchbox solution for 2020 & I am the envy of my colleagues! The modular design is very functional, allowing for versatility with my daily lunches!

My little girl is 3 years old and in kindergarten. She can easily use the lunchbox on her own and it has enough separate compartments to pack a variety of foods for her. Airtight and strong for rough little hands. :)

It’s a bento box and does what it’s supposed to!

The midi size is quite small. It’s okay for carrying snacks or kids’ lunch. Luckily I bought the large one as well.

The design is also bland and the material feels “industrial”? It doesn’t have that appealing look!
So if you are looking for that nice lunchbox, this might not be it?

The best solid plastic lunch box ever bought that will last so much longer with a tight seal lid. Ideally, internal snack boxes should have tight seal lids where one is lift-off and the other dual-sided has no lid.

I own the bigger bento box and love to use it for weekends away to portion some of the snacks or just pack ingredients for meals. I had some doubts about whether I needed a midi box for lunch, as I depend on the Cirqula bowls for leftovers.

However, I order a Farmer's box and now we have a big cook day, eat some veg, and turn the rest into dips and pickles to use in the week, and I pack some of these in my work lunch box and hey presto it works a charm. If you don't need to divide your items you may prefer the Cirqula range, but if you like to avoid soggy salads, or want some flavours separate, this is a brilliant bento box. (lunch sized). Cute little lunchbox - with the emphasis on 'little'! Love the Mepal on the go range, but a better descriptor for this item would be 'snackbox'.

We got the Bento lunchbox for our son, and he uses it every day for school. We liked the perfect size of the compartments and its nice and neat design.

However, after just about a year, the clip broke off the lid. We got a new Bento lunch box, but again after just about a year, the clip broke off again at the same place. Looks like a flaw in the design of this product as it kept breaking at the same place after the same period of usage.

I will not get his product again and will avoid Mepal products in future. Read more

I own this, as well as the bigger size. Sometimes I take both along to work if I have a large appetite, although most days I prefer the midi bento to the large one.

We use the large one for picnics for two, or when I want to stick a salad dressing jar and salt and pepper alongside my salad.

For leftovers, the midi bento size is actually quite a generous portion. My partner doesn't care so much about things remaining separate to preserve texture, so I use a seemingly bigger Mepal Cirqula container for him — and you'd be surprised how much the midi fits — and I have a colleague who agrees.

Disclaimer: I take along a separate breakfast pot, and put my snacks in my re-usable coffee cup, but for lunch, it does the trick. It's not, however, entirely leakproof so use the Cirqula range if you have wet dishes. Read more
