Care instructions
‐ Collapse this SectionWash knives after use in warm, soapy water, dry immediately, and pop back into the knife block. Do not allow them to stand in water, or come into contact with a heat source. Remember not to use abrasive sponges on them either, in order to maintain their finish.
We do not recommend washing these knives in the dishwasher. In the dishwasher, blades can knock against one another, reducing the longevity of the edge, and water can creep in between the metal and the handle, reducing the life of the handle.

Too light and handle too narrow
Item reviewed: Laguiole Cherry (no longer available)
Review by Lesa L. on 16 September 2019, 14 days after purchase
This knife, although very sharp, is much too "light" for my liking. Although I have small hands I also find the handle far too narrow and struggle to get a comfortable grip. This makes it more difficult to apply the needed pressure to cut through tougher bread (e.g. sourdough), a problem which is made worse by the lack of weight in the knife itself.

This knife is beautiful and works brilliantly. It is lightweight and does not squash the bread when slicing through it. Highly recommended.

This bread knife is light, but effective. I bought it to cope with my sourdough baking habit, and it cuts through the crusts with ease. It's also beautiful to look at and brings me pleasure to use.

Not happy with this product. The knife is not easy to use as it is too slim and hard to use. Looks good but not practical at all.

Sharp and Light

Review by Ridge G. on 22 May 2017, 6 days after purchase
It is worth the price, looks good and very sharp. It also feels good in the hand, with smaller hands. It may not be long but has its use.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
Beautifully Sharp

Review by Helena A. on 13 October 2018, 1 month after purchase
I love this bread knife. It cuts beautifully... and is very light to handle. At first I had some doubt to its cutting abilities ... just because it was so beautiful to look at and the presentation in the wooden container. I chose the magenta pink ... But, knowing Laguile knives from the past, I gave it a try. Wonderfully sharp and cuts the bread perfectly.

This knife superceded my expectations! It's sharp and does what it's supposed to do. It's light in the hand and looks funky too...

The perfect bread knife; cuts crusty artisan loaves with ease without tearing the soft inner crumb. Highly recommended.

Good quality product.
Flatware and serving utensils match well and look great on a table setting when you have guests over.

Excellent quality blade, makes cutting bread really enjoyable.
I would spend the extra for the wooden handle next time, the plastic isn't as high quality as the blade. But for the price, it is difficult to complain.

Beautiful Knife

The knife looks beautiful and works well. I was at first concerned that it wouldn't work well as it is very light but it works splendidly. Cuts through crusty bread like ciabatta and sourdough easily. I love it and would definitely recommend it.

I love the feel of the knife - it is quite light but it slices bread like no other knife I've ever had. It also looks very classy.

Review by Mia S. on 18 November 2018, 14 days after purchase
Bought this as a gift for someone - nicely presented in a wooden box. The width of the blade is nothing more than 2cm; I expected it to be a little bit wider and have a little bit more 'meat' to it. If you are looking for a funky, sleek, smaller bread knife, this is for you!
