We replaced the old one with this (same) one.
Works very well.
The fact that it has a handle makes it easy to place and remove it from the stove gas ring without burning your fingers.

It works so well! I was weary at first, but using it only when I want to simmer on lowest heat (gas), it works fantastic! Love it! No more burns!

It makes cooking very easy as there are no burns on stews and pap. The stews cook slowly without worrying about watching the pot all the time. I have more time to try my hand at other recipes on the gas stove. I recommend it to everyone who has a gas stove.

Very disappointing! The handle burnt and came off after a few uses. Do not use on a glass top gas hob - it traps the heat and our glass top shattered.
