Egg Poacher Pods, Set of 2

My worst purchase ever. Eggs stuck and took forever.

Would have been nice to come with instructions as I was not sure how to poach eggs. If there were any in the packaging it was too small to read. I ended up overcooking the eggs the first time around. Will hopefully figure it out with trial and error. If I get it right then it's a great way to poach eggs with relatively little mess.

I've used them three times, only to give them a chance, but they're now relegated to be a toy our toddler plays with.

First, it is critical that you ensure the silicone pods are greased or the eggs will get stuck.

Second, expect the eggs to take a very long time to cook, or at least expect that by the time the middle is cooked the outside egg white will be rubbery. Silicone is a good insulator (which is why you get oven mitts made of silicone) so heat doesn't dissipate very well into the eggs from the boiling water. Read more

Useful product — do spray it to ensure the eggs don't get stuck and don't use too much water when cooking otherwise it will spill over into the pods.
