The saute pan provides a broad, flat cooking surface for continuous stirring, shaking and tossing with straight sides to control spatters and keep food from sliding out. Scanpan's tempered glass lid means it can function as a braiser, too - and you can monitor progress without releasing heat.

Scanpan non stick disappointing
I bought a scanpan frying pan and sauté pan. I had to return the frying pan as the non stick coating was bubbling. I started using the sauté pan as it was non stick. I had not used it a lot when I still had the non stick frying pan. It is now more than a year that I bought the products. Terrible!
The non-stick coating is really non-stick - it does not even stick to the pan. Sadly, the cheaper non-stick pans from my student days (which I still use) work better than this one!

Excellent product
The non-stick surface is great and the size is just right for making curries, chicken a la king, etc due to the high sides. The corner angles are also perfect when stirring. It's perfect!
