We had been looking for a 4-Slice toaster for some time and finally chose the Graef because of the reputation of the brand, the solid construction, and the stylish look.

One of the problems with toasters we tried before was the toast not being well enough done even on the highest setting. With the Graef the toast is properly done at medium, and pops in a decent time.

The two buttons are for "cancel" (which pops the toast immediately) and "defrost", which we haven't actually used yet.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the setting needed for two slices is different to four slices. If you put two slices of bread in with the four slice settings it will cook for too long. This is not a big deal if you remember to adjust it slightly down and up. Read more

This is a beautiful product. It's better made than anything I looked at in store with solid fittings and smooth lever action. The functionality is good too - toast evenly, quickly and consistently over 3-4 batches. Only use a medium setting for crisp toast.
HUGE spend on a domestic basic but worth every cent!

Toasts better than anything I've used before. Bread is very evenly toasted and the temperature setting is accurate. Also very well insulated so your fingers are safe from being scalded if you accidentally touch it while its on.
