- Jug is dishwasher safe, except the wooden lid
- Wooden lid must be wiped clean with a damp cloth and needs regular oiling with food safe oil
- As wood is a living and organic material, natural variations may occur. If the wood feels rough with time, it is recommended you sand down the dry surface using very fine sandpaper, then oil the wood to protect it

If you're getting this for loadshedding, don't bother.
The jug is very pretty and looks nice on the countertop.
However, if you're getting the jug for a purpose more than looks, then don't be deceived by the product description:
"Keeps liquids hot for 12+ hours"

We're so sorry for this, our customer support team has tried to reach out to you to resolve this - please look out for their correspondence.
Disappointing.
Looks pretty BUT does not keep water hot enough for more than two hours or so. If you hope to use it during load shedding, no good! If you simply want to bring hot water to the table for guests for tea or coffee, it's fine for a short while.
I would not recommend this product to a friend.
