Care instructions
- Can be left outdoors all year round
- Rinse off if necessary
- While the rust does not transfer like other rust, small stains or runoff may occur
- Recommend cleaning the surface once or twice a year
- Cleaning should preferably be done without the use of cleaning agents
- Brushing the surface to remove loose and more stubborn soiling is usually sufficient
- Never use chlorinated cleaning agents
- If you do use detergent, ensure that is iron-free and never use non-stainless steel scraping tools (spackler, file, etc), iron-based sponges or non-stainless steel wool scouring pads for cleaning the surfaces
- Oil and fat can be removed using organic cleaning agents
- Take care to remove all traces of the cleaning agent
- Weathering steel products must not come into direct contact with a salt such as road salt, as this type of deicing salt and water can damage the surface
