At first I thought it was a bit small, but once I used it, I realised it is amazing! It is very functional and can take an ample amount of filling. I love my Diablo!

I Love the Diablo, I grew up with jaffles, over the years I tried varieties and I have to say by far the Diablo is the best. Even my 13 year old daughter loves using it. I would definitely recommend this product to other people.

My family really love jaffles, I am impressed with the non-stick quality of the product, I am now able to make perfect jaffles, the only complaint they have is that the jaffles should have been bigger.

Non-Stick Jaffle pan

Used the jaffle iron for the first time this morning. I love the nonstick surface, but: Jaffle comes out much smaller than the usual ones I know, so big chunks of bread go to waste, it is quite difficult to manouvre the two slices of bread in between the two "ears" which causes the jaffle to come out not completely round - I prefer the old fashioned ones with the single hinge, which is easy to load. I burnt myself twice turning the pan over and taking the jaffle out, but can't blame the pan - just myself! Suppose I will get used to it! Read more

My hubby just loved them, quick and easy. Used during a power failure on gas, just crack an egg in the middle and you have a lovely dripping egg toastie.

I love the styling and the quality of the Diablo Jaffle Iron. It brings back fond childhood memories.
It is great for a quick light supper. My only criticism would be that the two halves separate and there is no caution notice - so twice on opening it I dropped the one half, once on the carpeted floor of my office, so no harm done - and once on my tiled kitchen floor where it made a loud clank and I was terrified it had cracked. But fortunately - all was well. No biggie - but I would have been most upset if it had broken.
And lastly - I should have bought two - so that the production line of jaffles goes faster!!

Works very well. I haven't tried the pastry or leftover rice yet - they sound delicious.
But
It takes a while to make something and when there are three little children and Daddy begging for more...
Also - don't touch the black bits - they get very hot.

The Diablo jaffle iron has been used every day since I bought it. The kids make snacks on it all day, every day.
It makes delicious jaffles.
But, we've had a serious burn on it. It's not the greatest design - the wire ring for closing it is tight and takes a bit of manouevering to open, and the handle is only insulated two thirds of the way up. Touch the metal part straight off the heat and you'll know all about it. It should come with a pair of silicone oven gloves :-)

I still use an old Jaffle iron that as a kid, in the '50's, I helped make Jaffles with my Mother for the church. I wish we had had something like this one. So quick & easy - no sticking, trims bread and allows for a greater variety of ingredients.

Over a gas oven, this little devil makes the most delicious jaffles - reminiscent of the ones my mom used to make us as kids. The deep dish allows for a hearty filling of whatever you can think of. From breakfast jaffles of bacon bits, scrambled eggs and mushrooms, to traditional mince and mixed veg, it's a total win.
Careful not to burn yourself on any of the black metal pieces - it's called the Diablo for a reason, 'cause it burns like the devil. Read more

Was so pleased to see this jaffle iron, it reminded me of times gone by, when it was such a treat for us when our mother made "toasted sandwiches".
However this has to be the most stupid buy I have made. There needs to be a hinge so that when you close the iron it fits over the sandwich rather than squashing the bread. There is enormous wastage when you have to cut the sandwich from around the head. It also does not work well on a gas stove. Read more

My mother used to have one of these and it brings back memories of toasties with cheese oozing out. This one does the same! Seals in the filling, whatever you choose, and makes for delicious enjoyment. Personally I wish it was a bit bigger so there was not so much wastage of bread.

Fabulous! I took Yuppiechef's advice and buttered the bread on the outside - delicious, golden brown and crispy! The Youtube demo is good - can't wait to make the pastry "snackers" with fruit!

I own an old Jaffle pan, and for some reason everything sticks, no matter how much butter I use on the bread. I bought this Diablo Sandwich maker and will recommend it to anyone. It's so versatile, and you can actually bake anything you can imagine. Puff pastry dough, pancakes, tortillas... I have an AGA and it works perfectly on the stove too. Very happy with my little tool!!

My only concern is that I have used it twice now and when you cut the excess bread from the sides, the Teflon comes off too.

Since buying the Diablo it's fast become my kids favourite snack... We had a Jaffle iron but due to the construction it took forever and quickly burnt once it was up to temp.
The Diablo is different cause of the construction which means you can easily make a jaffle in 2 minutes, it's super easy and fun for the kids to make their own "concoctions"
Yes the handle does get hot, well simple answer is then don't touch it, made the mistake once, won't do it again :)
Also I found that older bread works better as the "fresher" bread is too soft and doesn't hold its shape well.
All in all it's a great product and I am extremely happy we bought it :) Read more

After three quite serious burns in the family, I have finally thrown mine away. I know that one needs to be careful when using this type of gadget, but manufacturers also need to make sure that it is not so easy to injure yourself.

We love our jaffle maker; it makes the best cheese&tomato and mince&cheese jaffles ever. On the downside, you do struggle to close the gadget without spilling some of the contents on the hinge side. But once you get used to it, you find a way to manoeuvre it.

Easy, fast to use for quick light meals. No sticking and easy to just pop out jaffels by turning the Iron to the side. (Just be carefull as the black section becomes very hot.)

Great jaffle iron - one belongs into each family as essential! No need to wait for that campfire, works just as well over the gas hob and open fire place. These are of a particular nice design too. The handle may just be marginally too short for my liking, making it a bit more vulnerable to fire.

This is a excellent product. I have made a few including basic ham and cheese to a breakfast on with egg, ham and some chilli sauce. No leaks or mess, and the jaffle pops out of the iron easy - no sticking. Not tried it on the braai as yet, but am sure it will be tops.

If you use the instructions, you will not burn... Famous last words... I used a Jaffle machine before, what could be so hard?
WARNING: The black parts burns! If you do not want to believe me, look at the name, DIABLO. It even looks like a devil with horns.
Other than that, it makes DELICIOUS sarmies!

Thank you for this wonderful product.
Since I got it a week ago, my kids ask me every night to make some jaffles for school the next day.
It is fun, quick and easy.
The only thing I would keep in mind, is the handel (the black part) is part of the hot side and I have touched it once or twice. I have small kids and I am the only one allowed to use it.

I bought my Diablo a little while ago. I love it SO much :) There was a man doing a demo on it at a show and I still use the exact same ingredients he had... cheese, pasta sauce and rocket. I gave this as an early present to my partner and we have used it a lot. It works perfectly on our gas stove and he has already made the most amazing concoctions of sandwiches. What a quick and easy way to make a delicious snack. It is also very easy to clean. Recently spoiled myself with this amazing little kitchen gadget!
I grew up with jaffles, and loved them, but the new "old fashioned" jaffle irons are a nightmare, and clearly not the same as the one my mom has (and still uses after nearly 40 years). I'd end up with burned bread or having to scrape the half of the sandwich of the inside of the iron.
With the Diablo it is so easy!

The heat distribution is perfectly even (no more burned edges) and the non-sick surface makes removal of your snack a breeze!
I even made a cheesy rice cake for lunch, no mess, no fuss!
