This is a great double-boiler because it is only one pot, so it doesn't take a lot of space, but it really works well and is easy to clean. It's slightly fiddly to fill the water reservoir, but it's a great purchase and I'd definitely buy it again.

This double boiler delivers what it promises. I made custard from scratch to test it and because of it's rounded design no lumps could form at the bottom, also there was no way to burn it. It was not necessary to check the water level all the time, I only had to top up a once during the whole process. And it holds a fair amount of liquid. I will definitely recommend this item. Making swiss meringue buttercream easy and effortless. I would really recommend this product. Big enough to make 2kg of buttercream. Don't know what I would do without it.

I felt the product was not good value for money.
I intended to buy it as a present for someone but did not feel it was good enough.
The plastic was not of a good quality and the opening mechanism seemed a bit wonky.

Putting water into this double boiler is really difficult without trapping air. When the water starts to boil it bubbles over either burning your hands or spilling all over the stove. Perhaps it should have had an instruction manual included.

No more putting a glass bowl on a pot with boiling water. Easy, peasy to melt chocolate. Should have bought one ages ago.
