Unacceptable
I have bought 2 kettles! For our primary residence and our holiday home. Both kettles are unable to open at the lid with the button (and we have returned one to Yuppie which they exchanged but the second one also jammed). The first kettle the letters fell off!! This is an expensive product and all 4 of my SMEG products are faulty or broken after 2 years. It is just my husband and I. No children Read more

Love love love!
I have only used this a few times, but I absolutely love this kettle. It just works - the button to open the lid is like opening a present, the little light makes it looks like a space ship that is going to take off... Looks stylish but in reality a badly made product
I’m now returning my kettle for the second time in two years as the lid keeps jamming. Apart from the faulty lid the lettering is also very cheaply stuck on and has rubbed off in certain places. For an expensive product I’m very disappointed both in the product and with the SMEG brand.
I would not recommend this product to a friend.

Keeps leaking
We bought once this product, and after a few months it started leaking at the seam just above the switch. Yuppiechef kindly replaced it. One year down the line, the same problem reappeared on the new kettle. So the defect must be common. This is a beautiful-looking kettle, but spending over R2,000 for something that breaks so easily is nothing short of a fraud. Do yourself a favour, stay away from Read more
