The adjustment knob for slice thickness continually moves as you are slicing the bread.
The four suckers do not stick properly to a surface resulting in the slicer moving around.
The blade and bread guide does not align straight.
The blade is super sharp and slices well.

I would not recommend this product to a friend.

Super awesome bread slicer! Our family only eats sourdough, but slicing through the hard crust is such a mission. Also, everyone has a preference with regards to thickness of slices, so a masterpiece of a sourdough soon became a butchered mess in our house. This slicer leaves hardly any crumbs and it is really easy and simple to use. You can choose from a Melba Toast thin slice to a 'cannot open my mouth big enough' one. Read more

I was shocked to actually see how small this is. On the picture, it looked much bigger. Tried to cut a loaf of bread, but it was higher than the actual blade. Will try and use it for smaller meat carvings.

What a quality product. It slides through any artisan loaf with ease. And it is RED. Takes me back to the days before sliced bread was sold at the shop.

If you want a perfectly sliced loaf, this is the slicer for you. I'm not talking about just any bread, I'm talking about a big, crusty sourdough loaf, specifically. It glides through it with no difficulty at all. Yes, it is pricey. Worth it? Absolutely!

Absolutely love my Zassenhaus! Cuts smoothly through sourdough bread, notorious for its chewy crust which makes it almost impossible to get toaster friendly slices with a common breadknife.
This slicer is a joy to use. Designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Never ever using a breadknife again. Ever!

Expensive...but worth it

I cannot keep up baking bread!
