I got these for my boyfriend - a serial whisky drinker. He loves them - they are quite fine and the thistle shape appeals as he is of Scottish descent. They do help with airing the whiskey.

I have owned a variety of Riedel glasses for years and have always had a few of these. Still my favourite "go to" glass for everyday drinking and tasting. I also own a few of the Norlan glasses, which while better for nosing whisky, don't get close to the overall experience of the Riedel. In closing, it may be worth noting that I have a serious dislike of traditional thick edged tumblers - love the fine edges of Riedel and derive a great deal of pleasure using them. Read more

Finally — great whisky glasses in SA

I have struggled to find good whisky tasting glasses and finally found these after almost a year of searching online.

These are great for tasting and enjoying whisky. The shape definitely lends itself to providing a better overall tasting experience — I think this is mainly due to the design forcing the whisky onto the tip of your tongue where you perceive the spicy notes of a whisky.
