The Osti cheese slicer is incredibly useful with two options for thickness to choose from. The wire seems a little flimsy sometimes, but you may just need to tighten it a bit again then. The fact that you can replace the wire is one of this product's best features - no need to buy a new cheese slicer again, you can just replace the wire if it breaks.

I received my first Osti cheese slicer about 15 years ago and it was time to replace it. This time I bought myself two (as we love cheese so much) and I also bought one for a relative that is getting married soon. There is really no other way to slice cheese. It is smooth, clean and does not mess up the cheese you slice from. I believe it makes cheese using more economic and it is so simple to use. It allows for a thin or thick slice and really takes any aggravation out of cheese slicing. Sometimes cheeses that have been frozen is really difficult to slice, but with the Osti cheese slicer it is no problem. Really recommend this product. Read more

Onto my 2nd cheese slicer - first one was misplaced on a camping trip and on the Monday we got back, its replacement was ordered. Can't live without it! Went for the bright blue one this time - hopefully not as easy to misplace next time round!

Oh my sack, I don't know what I would do without this slicer. Had to buy another as a part was misplaced in changing the wire. Was in despair without my slicer. It sure is the best thing in my kitchen. Serious.

I absolutely LOVE my slicer, it's way more convenient than any other cheese slicer I've used before. I love that it's now so easy to control the thickness and I am able to slice any size of cheese. This literally changed my life!!

Our own cheese slicer had been broken for many months and I finally purchased this one online.
The minute my husband cut the first piece of cheese, the strings snapped! It is brand new and we have thus not been able to use it!

When you eat as much cheese as I do, this item becomes a place mat addition. Slicing blocks of cheddar or Gouda has never been easier. Using a knife is so 1900s. Unfortunately this slicer didn’t come with spare wires, but fortunately I still have form my first purchase. Yuppiechef?

This has become a staple in my kitchen, the previous one broke, was surprised at how often I missed having it. Works well with the raclette pan as well.

I had a different cheese slicer, but similar concept as this that I lost in a house fire. I had that cheese slicer for 15 years and changed the wire 1 time about 10 years in. This one however, I bought in August 2021 and by November 2021 have gone through 4 wires! The original one snapped in week 1. The others varied in time, but the longest was this last one at 4 weeks.

I bought one of those many years ago, somewhere else. Never had any trouble with it. But I am thrilled to find that I can buy replacement wires here at Yuppiechef just in case the wire snaps.
