Pro 900W High Speed Blender

At first, I was very impressed with the nutribullet. We had a magic bullet for the last 10 years and it worked amazingly. When we bought the nutribullet, it was definitely an upgrade. However, after a year of use, the parts inside the lid (which the blade is attached to) have started to rust and now each time we use the nutribullet, rusty water leaks into the base (and possibly into the cup itself, we haven't tested it), and it makes a really loud noise when in use. In terms of making juices and smoothies, this product is excellent, but I am disappointed that I now have to buy a replacement blade after only 1 year of use, especially considering the price I paid for it. I loved my Nutribullet and it worked amazingly. The only major downside is that it only last for about a year. My first one started leaking just before the warranty expired and then the second one did the same just after warranty.

The Nutribullet Pro is super powerful and comes with one blade that blends and mills. I love the fact that it is so easy to clean and doesn't take up too much space in my kitchen. So far, I have successfully made delicious smoothies, humus, basil pesto and coriander chutney as well as grinded salt and cumin seeds. While it blends frozen fruit really well, it doesn't make icies or slushies like iced coffee or lemonade. The instructions say not to add more than 25% ice and this is spot on because adding like a whole cup of ice seems to stress out the machine. But overall, a very handy and versatile blender that does a lot and is so easy to clean that you feel encouraged to make an early morning smoothie. Read more

When my Nutribullet Pro arrived on Monday I couldn't wait to start using it.
I started off with a fairly basic smoothie made of banana, orange juice, yoghurt, sunflower seeds and some quite firm guavas. It took about 30 seconds to whizz them into a really great smoothie. Cleaning up was so easy; just swished the cup and blade in some warm soapy water and left them to dry. On day two I started the serious testing. Grinding linseeds for making bread was incredibly fast and much easier than using a coffee grinder and the Nutribullet was much easier to clean than the coffee grinder had been.
Filled with enthusiasm, I decided to try making almond butter. The recipe was from nutriliving so it was intended for the Nutribullet. This was a little less satisfying and I'm not sure that I'll be trying it again as the cup got really hot and when I opened it to clear the blades (which one needs to do several times, according to the instructions) ground nuts fell out each time making quite a mess and more disturbingly there was something that looked like smoke and the contents and/or the cup smelt a bit burnt. I don't think I'll be trying this again because it seems to me as if it will damage the appliance in the not so long run.
After this I made a green smoothie from apple, carrot, lemon juice, ginger and water. The result was tasty - similar to vegetable juice but I didn't like the texture which was a bit like a crunchy smoothie. I will be experimenting more with veggies, but going more for the spinach, avo type of mixture.
Despite the last two issues I am still totally delighted with it. It's small, so takes up very little space. It replaces my old liquidiser, coffee grinder and to an extent my Magimix. It is the easiest thing in the world to use and even easier to clean which is a huge bonus in my book. It may be called a Nutribullet but it's more like dynamite!!!

I was lucky to get the pro blender on a special price at yuppiechef.
I shopped around, and yuppiechef was a last resort, because I thought it would be more expensive, but then I got the 900W blender on a 600w price.

BUT the hand written card made my day; it is such a special "old school touch"!
I will remember this gesture for many many years.

These guys are not kidding when they say this Nutribullet is powerful! I have two 600w Nutribullets as I am smoothie crazy and my 600w works great, but this is the "fighter jet" of Nutribullets! Blends everything up in a flash and I love the new bigger cup that comes with it! I am really happy with this purchase!

I have used the Nutribullet daily for the two weeks that I have had it. It produces perfect smoothies - super fine textured - and is also excellent for producing creamy soup (cook-cool-blend-warm in microwave). I have found that blending for 30-45 seconds is enough for a perfect result.

I bought one of these for my mom, but after a few days she didn't want it any more as it hurt her arm. The lid of the screw on blade top is quite big, wider than your usual travel mug or smoothie bottle, and my mom found it difficult to screw on and off, actually hurting her arm. I love the product myself but I can see how this won't suit older or weak people, as the lid is larger than a normal smoothie bottle/travel mug lid, so even with my hands it is not that easy with my size hands when its been screwed on very tight. We waited quite a while for our Nutribullet as stock was low over the festive season, but it was definitely worth the wait. I firmly believe in healthy eating. Thus I incorporate smoothies into my diet daily. I have even gone so far as to get a second one now (I take mine with when I travel to sports events as I am a keen cyclist and go to events often) for the house as everyone in my household started to use the Nutribullet. The Nutribullet is totally reliable and easy to use. It has the best holders and cups included. My other Nutribullet has a 600W motor and is just as powerful. My Nutribullet arrived about 2 weeks ago and I have used it every day since to make the most delicious and wholesome smoothie meals. I cannot believe how easy it is to feed veg and fruit to a reluctant vegetable eater in my family!

I'm enjoying my first Nutribullet... it's easy and convenient to use! Every now and again the rubber ring comes loose from both the lid and the grinding element. It's quite hard to get back on. I think I've been tightening them too much, which is probably why. It definitely does better than our old smoothie maker, however I'm yet to get rid of the little bits, like berry skin and chia seeds. Perhaps I have to use it for longer. Absolutely love my nutribullet. Does exactly what it claims to do. Makes perfectly smooth smoothies and crushes ice like a dream. I wanted to buy the nutribullet for months however I kept on postponing. I love the nutribullet I regret not buying it sooner. Everything about this machine just 'works' !

I've been 'cooking' for 45 years and have survived a number of blenders - most take too long to assemble and clean and the blades were never quite right to crack slippery seeds (like Linseeds).

Always knew there was a way to simplify and optimise - bravo Nutribullet - excellent product!

I enjoy using this blender, but am rather disappointed at the number of times the contents leaks out while the motor is running. I find I have to tighten the lid with quite some force. If not, it leaks, and it sadly is not cheap.

The Nutribullet products are incredible. I would skip any other mid-range blenders, because you will end up replacing them with this eventually. Might as well go for it first time around! Useful for a large range of things if you buy with extra milling blade and an extra cup or two, but extras aren't necessary to make the most of these.

Overall great product. I’ve been using it to make almond and oat milk which it is really good at. For smoothies it is also good, however I like thick smoothies and if you run the machine too long your drink gets warm as the machine produces heat. The first three blends produced a mechanical burn smell, but after that it has settled into normal working order. I went for the pro for the ability to crush ice over the 600w series. Adding ice to the smoothie may stop the smoothies being warm. Read more

I use this Nutribullet every morning to make delicious nutritious smoothies. I also use it for making desserts and protein sauces. Absolutely love this machine it has made a huge difference in my life and cannot live without it. Highly recommend.

Our old 600W model stopped working so replaced with the 900W for a bit more power and because the same cups fit. It is working perfectly and now we have lots of cups for everyone!

I've had my Nutribullet for 18 months and the motor blades are broken already!

Something that costs this price, surely one would think it lasts longer than that. Then to have to fork out another R450 just to replace the motor, it's very cheeky and expensive.

This is a smoothie maker, not a blender. First of all, the jug is so difficult to clean! There are grooves in the jug which causes the juice to get stuck, you need a spatula to get everything out.

Secondly and more importantly, my machine started leaking within a few months of owning it, I contacted Yuppiechef and they were kind enough to repair it.

Now 3 years down line (with barely any use in between) it’s not working properly at all, makes a huge noise, and doesn’t blend anything. Rather save up and get something better. This is utter rubbish! Read more

Really worth the price. Makes short work of nuts, seeds, beetroot, carrots - and, of course - softer ingredients. Smoothies in second.

Every review I've read so far raves about the Nutribullet. Let's be honest here - if you have a food blender, or a hand held, it does the same thing, the Nutribullet is just easier to clean. So it's not a must-have , it's a nice-to-have.

4 drawbacks I've encountered thus far:

The max-line indicated on the plastic cup is very hard to see once you start filling . That should be embossed in the plastic, in luminous yellow , in BIG letters.

Even the tall cup is too small. Once you have stuffed spinach leaves in there , there's not much room for anything else.

Apparently you can "pulse" it. I tried and all the liquid just spilled out so wouldn't recommend doing this other than in your food processor.

The "sip" lip on the go-to lid is bulky, not conducive to sipping daintily out of unless you don't mind chugging the liquid down.

All in all its a nice little gadget - just don't think the hefty price tag warrants a little convenience. Read more

Blends well. But after a few uses it has become extremely loud to use. I’m even considering returning it to be fixed. For such an expensive product, I’m disappointed that it’s become problematic so quickly. Wouldn’t recommend it for that reason.

This specific blender (900watt) is TERRIBLE. We were told by friends to not take it and rather opt for a lower wattage, but decided on this one anyways. However, after using it for only about 20 times in a 6 months period- its motor seized and our whole house smelled like electricity that was burning.
We could also barely hear ANYTHING after blending with this blender, because it is SO loud, it’s actually unbearable.
DO NOT BUY THIS SPECIFIC WATTAGE BLENDER FROM NUTRIBULLET. Read more
