Creatista Plus Automatic Espresso Machine with Automatic Steam Wand

This machine is undoubtably expensive, but it has a steam wand, so it makes real cappuccinos, lattes, etc rather than the milk "frother" versions, that aren't the same as the real thing. It's totally automated, with clever temperature sensors that mean that no skill at all is required. Just press a button. It's also easy to clean; you just have to wipe the steam wand rather than clean an entire milk frother.

The downside is flexibility - the Creatista Plus has a fixed menu of lattes, cappuccinos, etc, and that's it. If you want more foam, less foam, etc, you can do that, but you have to go into the menu system, and program it, rather than just run the steam a bit longer manually.

Bottom line - it you want real milk based drinks like lattes, etc, this is the machine. If you just want non-milk drinks like an espresso, the cheaper machines will do just as good a job. Read more

Makes great cappuccinos with proper foam. Only negative is that you can only set the coffee volume to preset levels.

Wow! This is so fantastic. I always wanted a machine to make my own cappuccino and café latte instead of buying them from the famous coffee outlets. This machine does just what it says and more. My home smells heavenly when you brew the coffee and you get all the help from Nespresso with your choice of the capsules. You have to try it to experience the greatness of this machine. Our family loves this coffee maker. It is both easy to use and to clean and makes delicious coffee, lattes etc and looks very elegant. My daughter's coffee art skills are improving daily.

Really love this machine compared to our old Nespresso as the cappuccinos are really hot which was not the case previously. It is also far easier to clean as the old milk frother was a pain to clean and this is self-cleaning. It is also great as it is possible to run hot water through the pod twice if you want to. Just love it!!

I love my new Nespresso machine. I used to have a more basic one (which was also really great). But this one is incredible - you can create a pre-set coffee, or customize one to how you like it. You can decide on how thick you like your froth, how hot you like your milk, etc. Sooo good!!

I love this machine. It is very simple to use and definitely my favourite Nespresso Machine. (I have tried 2 others). The steam wand allows for a more authentic foam compared to the Milk Frothers.
I love that you can adjust the temperature and texture of your milk with the touch of a button. You can create café quality Lattes, cappuccinos and more in a matter of minutes. Definitely worth the investment. Read more

Besides looking gorgeous the steam wand on the Creatista Plus is what makes this Nespresso machine unique no more subpar milk froth, you get a professionally textured milk produced automatically and a consistent espresso, which is no surprise as this machine is made by Breville. I was on the torn between getting the Breville Express manual machine which I use often and the Creatista Plus. The capsules are a lot more expensive compared to grinding your own coffee beans, but you pay for convenience, consistency & ease of use. 1 out of 3 of my espressos was excellent with the Breville Express and it took me 10-30 minutes to make a few coffees when I had friends over. This Nespresso offers consistent results every time in a fraction of the time. On a plus side my wife loves the Creatista Plus so I'm no longer the only one tasked with making coffee or Rooibos. If you value convenience over price then this is an excellent buy. Read more

Love love this machine! Best coffee machine I have owned. Easy to use, looks beautiful & compact.
The milk frothing is the best and the coffee temp can be adjusted so you can have a really hot cup of coffee. Only have it 2 weeks and used it a few times everyday.

What a pleasure to use! I simply love this machine - having used a Latissima (which is also great) - this is a revolution. I love the ease of use, the quick heating time, the large water tank as well as larger pod reservoir. This coffee machine is like having a coffee shop in your house. It makes perfect foam every time. It looks beautiful and is a cinch to operate and clean. It's certainly not perfect, but it would be a mistake to list the small things that could be improved if it is this good.

My faithful Nespresso machine broke just before Christmas after 7 years and 1000s of coffees. I decided to upgrade to the Creatista mainly because I love the idea of properly steamed milk. This little machine has far surpassed expectations. It's easy to use, it makes coffee like a pro and it even looks great.

Wonderful coffee machine. I used a U Milk with Aerroccino for many years. This is the next level. Great coffee and brilliant for making cappuccinos and lattes. I have even managed a little latte art ;)
One tip, the type of milk impacts the density of the foam, so you need to play around with the milk settings to get to your preferred foam.

I bought this in machine 2018. And when it's working, it makes pretty good coffee. But in the time I've had it, it's been replaced by Nespresso 5 times.

This machine doesn't seem to last more than about 6 months without something going wrong (temp sensor or seals mostly). Nespresso is pretty good about replacing with a refurb when you buy R1800 worth of capsules, but I have to say that the components quality of this, made by Breville, is pretty poor for the price.

This morning the coffee started pouring out inside the capsule tray again, super frustrating.

I'll likely spend money on a non-Nespresso machine instead. Read more

I bought this machine as it promised to deliver a "barista milk experience"....well, it definitely doesn't do that! The froth on the milk is really just a few bubbles...nothing like one gets in a coffee shop. I've followed all the instructions and also asked for help in a Nespresso shop...the sales assistant was totally useless in advising me. So I am now using it just for the coffee and have gone back to using my Aerocino to prepare my milk. This was a VERY expensive mistake. Read more
