I ordered the Mellerware Crema Deluxe and was pleasantly surprised! Great for beginners and my ice cream turned out perfect from the very first use!

Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try ice cream making at home but who also doesn't want to buy something too expensive.

The lid hooks in and is supposed to stay in place as the paddle works the ice cream inside, BUT the lid shakes itself loose and then you have an ice cream mess all over the kitchen counter. The hooks aren't very well designed - you have to basically weigh the lid down with a sack of rice or something to hold it in place - as long as you do that it works fine. Product is made of thin plastic parts that make the product look and feel cheap. The machine is prone to jamming. Due to the design of the lid, it instantly pops off when it jams and the mixer falls off. Rather spend a bit more and buy a decent model.

If properly frozen, the ice cream takes like 10 min. Love using it. Pour the ingredients in while the machine is running otherwise it freezes and splatters all over the place.

This is the easiest and cheapest way to make the most delicious ice cream ever. My husband has had a great time making all sorts of new flavour combinations.

It gets the job done, but it does require some patience. I recommend freezing the inner part of the machine overnight, to make sure it's as ice-cold as possible.

Also, before adding your ingredients I'd recommend refrigerating them so they are cold by the time you add them to the machine.

This machine gets a lot of mixed reviews on the net, but it's very cheap compared to other machines so I thought I'd take a chance and I'm glad that I did. It really is a huge step up from making "no machine" type ice cream.

The item had already been used when the person I gifted it to opened the box. I’m so disappointed — it’s very off-putting, especially as it was bought as a gift. Receiving this feedback, and then being asked where I bought it from, was really disappointing.

This is a great price for someone who is curious about making ice cream but doesn't want to pay for one of the more expensive models. It does exactly what the instructions promise; my only advice is that for sorbets you chill the mixture a bit before putting it into the machine. Highly recommend!
