I use this so that I can fit my Bialetti stove top espresso maker on my gas stove. It does what you expect, and is a good quality product.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

Perfect problem solver!

This little gadget works like a charm - my moka pot is no longer doing a balancing act on the gas ring, and I can also use smaller pots on bigger rings. Should have bought one ages ago!

Just what I needed

This does exactly what I want it to do - it enables me to use my 6-cup moka pot on our gas hob. The gap between the ends of the grid on our gas hob is too large to hold a moka pot, and this solves the problem.
It works perfectly.

Practical

I don’t yet have small enough pots that need balancing but have used it as a heat reducer. Would recommend it but may be more practical if you have moka pots, etc.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
Works great but discoloured

This product works great, makes it possible to use moka coffee pot on gas stove. However the metal discoloured after the first use, so it doesn't look great.

A practical, not aesthetic, choice

It does what it says on the box. If you like pretty things, you should know the galvanised steel rapidly darkens and discolours and after a month it looks terrible,
But it works just fine.

Should have a non-stick finish

The material isn't the best. If you get spills on it, it's a mission to clean this item but it's the only gas ring reducer I could find. From a functional point of view, it does what it's supposed to.

Gas ring heat reducer: function before form
Item reviewed:
Review by Anton V. on 25 July 2021, 13 days after purchase
We bought this to support our espresso pot safely, rather than the heat reduction feature. Yes, it does change colour after some use, but if you are using it for reducing an already low heat it should not deform. I’m not using it as a decorative piece, so the discolouration does not bother me. I’m daft, I’ve spilled coffee on it so it is developing a nice patina. The ring is manufactured from a sheet and bent and punched to arrive at that shape, instead of being cast. However it has tabs in pairs which stops it sliding around in most cookers, making it extremely safe. And it does reduce the heat, as expected. Overall, it does what it promises without a fuss. Happy to recommend it for function. For form: rather look elsewhere or simply put it away when not in use. Read more

Effective but not pretty.

This little guy is not going to win any beauty competitions, was discoloured and grotty within a few weeks of using it.
But hey, my Bialetti coffee pot doesn't fall all over the stove anymore - so a functional win for sure!

Does the job well

Does the job.
Finish is not great; sharp edges needs filing down so be careful. For the high asking price a better finish should be done.

Gas Ring Heat Reducer — exactly what I'd been looking for!!

Review by Debra B. on 26 September 2022, 14 days after purchase
Exactly what I had been looking for! The gas rings on my gas stove are too large to safely balance small pots on. Works perfectly and it's definitely value for money. I was finally able to use my Moka pot to brew coffee.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

So far I have not used it as a heat reducer but as additional support for my smaller pots, it is very practical

Gas ring heat reducer

Sadly this product is not effective on my gas hob. It needs to lift the pot a lot higher than it does to allow simmering.
I would not recommend this product to a friend.
