- Handmade Konro Hibachi, Kon-5
- Also known as a “Hibachi” grill in the US, these grills can reach very hot temperatures and stay hotter for longer periods
- Highly efficient and conveniently portable, this grill is ideal for tableside grilling, accommodating up to 8 people at once
- Ideal for private or professional use
- Made from diatomite (the fossilised remains of plankton) and mined traditionally by hand in Suzu Japan. The blocks are joined together without the use of mortar, for a stronger, tighter and more fire-resistant finish
- The Konro is then baked at 1,000 degrees for six hours making it extremely durable
- Due to diatomite grills' superior heat-insulation properties, the charcoal used in them ignites easily and sustains a longer burn compared to conventional cookers
- Although you can use regular charcoal we suggest using Binchotan White Charcoal (available on Yuppiechef), which is reusable, smell and smoke-free, burns for longer and creates even heat distribution
- Remove the grill mesh to grill your favourite skewers
