Best Bread Knife for slicing Sourdough bread

I have been struggling to find a knife to slice sourdough bread for a while now, without breaking out in a sweat as I saw my way through the crusts. Finally, I found the one. This knife slices through the toughest of crusts effortlessly. A winner. A must in one's cutlery drawer.

Nifty and budget-friendly bread knife

These Zyliss knives are great utility knives for the price and build quality. Very light, good balance, and razor-sharp factory edge. The sheath is a great addition to help preserve the cutting edge in a kitchen drawer or protect it if you're carrying it around a lot like me.

My only complaint so far is that the metal seems to pick up marks from foodstuffs quite easily. I've used this knife once to cut lamb and it has multiple dark spots in certain areas on the blade. But for the price, it's a small issue considering the kind of work I'm putting these knives through. Read more

So sharp, in fact, I cut my finger with it the first time I used it — I was so used to my old bread knife being unable to cut through sourdough crust. But crusts of any nature are no match for this knife. Super happy!
