Finally - perfectly crispy pizza bases! No more takeaways :)

Eating takeaway pizzas once a week was a treat, but mainly because it was the only way we could seem to get properly cooked pizzas (i.e. with a crispy base).
Then we tried the pizza stone and voila! Finally, no more soggy bottoms :)
We've only tried it on the Weber so far, not in the oven, but I think it works just as well. Heat up the stone for 15 minutes first and pizzas are perfectly cooked in almost 5 minutes. I'm not sure we'll ever get take-out pizzas again! Read more

Product makes very crispy pizza bases for very tasty pizzas. Slightly difficult to clean, but a very good addition for someone looking to "braai" something out of the ordinary.

This was money well spent. This large round stone fits beautifully on our Weber.
The pizzas were crispy and hot and simply awesome - just like from a real pizzeria!
We used raw dry polenta on the stone to make sure the pizzas didn't stick, and that worked like a dream (the first one stuck!)
It does get seasoned and blackened with the intense heat, but that is part of the charm.
