Rob Heyns' Tasting Notes:
This lager was born in 1945 in Belgium, potentially a good year for new beginnings. It received acclaim as a light, easy drinking lager. It is lightly bitter and ever so slightly sweet with some notes of spices, herbs and honey. I discovered it for the first time in 2010 while in Paris. It is also well known for its funky approach to its branding, in recent years, with art and trend inspired labels that depict modern and classic trends in Belgium and Europe, as well as some more abstract concepts from time to time with the different labels that are released linked to various themes and concepts.
