I suffer from arthritis and find the mandoline helps so much in the kitchen.
Was able to make thin beetroot crisps with little effort yesterday.

I am thrilled with the Slicer, it is easy to use and the thin slices are really thin. The Julienne blades also work well, but need a bit of oomph to get going. However, you need to be very careful that you don't drop it into the sink, for example, the blades bend easily. I am thrilled with it. I have always wanted a mandoline slicer and even bought one a while back that was a "special". Needless to say it barely worked properly. Slices veggies effortlessly. Like the different blades for different thicknesses, love the blade that allows very thin slices! Packs up nicely, feels quite sturdy. Going to buy one for my mom as well!

This product is excellent because when I used it for the first time, I ran through a bunch of potatoes in no time. I did carrots as well and it was done ever so quickly. It really saves time, because my knife skills are not that great!
One warning though, please be careful with the blades, they are very sharp and you should ALWAYS use the device included with your Mandolin to cut your fruit and veggies. Read more

Nice design and ergonomics but I was disappointed in this product as the first carrots that I julienned bent the thin blades. I was looking for this product to do basic julienne work and it looks like I will have to buy another one if I want it to last. Very disappointed.
