Not a big baker myself, but this mix is soooooo easy! The cake is rich and moist, and beats ANY homemade cake! You simply can't go wrong with NOMU!!! Nom-nom-nom-nom-NOMU!!

I am not very keen on cake mixes, as I prefer to make my own from scratch, but thought I would give this a go as I have always been fond of the NoMU products.
This Chocolate Kit does make a good single layer cake, it is very dark and chocolatey. I would keep more of these kits as a backup as they make a good cake.

Basically comes with the dry ingredients (which you may as well have just bought separately for cheaper - with the wet ingredients you have to buy anyway- and pour into a mixing bowl yourself vs pouring it out of a silver pouch - how lazy can you be?) No magic surprises here ~ you may as well just Google a recipe and D.I.Y.

I needed a cake that was easy for New Year's because I spent A LOT of time on cooking. This was exactly what was required. I'm not good at following recipes, I like playing and experimenting so I changed 1 or 2 things - for the cake and the icing. Really the best chocolate cake I've ever had!

Even my small children who usually prefer vanilla cake devoured this cake.

I used the buttermilk option which made for a moist cake but not too heavy.
