I was looking for a cast iron pot to use as a dutch oven to bake my sourdough bread in. This casserole not only was the most cost effective, but it’s also proudly SA made. It works great as a dutch oven & is so easy to clean. I bought the blue one & it is gorgeous (rivals all the blue colours from that other well-known brand 😉)!! I try to buy local and support our economy so this is an excellent example of a local SA product. It is an attractive, good quality casserole dish. My only issue is that the handle on the top of the lid is metal, with no rub or like an insulator, which if you have the pot on the stove for a while, gets hot. Not a great issue but would make it a six-star product! Manufacturer, please note.

A sensible budget-conscious choice over Le Creuset, and always good to support Local-Is-Lekker. Used it 4 times already and no problems.
