Perfect for proteins

If you are looking for a probe to use for proteins then this is it. You can set your own temperature range, or use the recommended ones on the thermometer. I like that you can carry the monitor part around with you. And so far, the cord sits in the oven perfectly. Time will tell if this lasts. If you need a thermometer for baking or sugar work you will have to set your own temperature range using one of the proteins. There is no feature to use the thermometer without a protein choice. This is a great item. Works like a dream. Made my best steak on the barbie for years. Can't wait to use it again. Nifty that you can sit at the table and the remote tells you what is going on.
