We verify card transactions using 3D Secure — an added level of security to ensure your payments are safe. It is is mandated by the Card Associations and managed by South African banks.

• MasterCard holders will be prompted to enter your "SecureCode".
• Visa card holders will be asked to verify using "Verified by Visa."

Almost all South African cards are preregistered for 3D Secure by your bank, regardless if they have been used online before. Only corporate cards that use static passwords still require the cardholder to activate, but this is determined by the bank during the transaction.

If, for some reason, your card is not registered, 3D Secure will prompt you to activate it during the transaction. You can activate your cards through your online banking profile or simply call your bank directly to help you.

When asked to verify your purchase in 3D Secure, you will be sent  a One Time Pin (OTP) to your mobile phone by your bank. Enter this pin in the form to verify your transaction.
