Bosteels Brewery Tripel Karmeliet
R294.00 (Case of 6)
Product Information- Collapse this Section
The Tripel Karmeliet is a refined and complex brew as a result of the grains used, the restrained hopping with Styrians and the fruity nature (banana and vanilla) of the house yeast. This beer has the lightness and freshness of wheat, but also the creaminess of oats together with a spicy, lemony dryness.
- Golden to bronze in colour
- Dense, creamy coloured head
- Aromas of citrus and vanilla on the nose with creamy oats, spice, lemon and light wheat on the palate
Rob Heyns' Tasting Notes:
November 2014 - From the same brewing house as Kwak, but far less famous, the Tripel is an even bigger, even more typically authentic Belgian style. It has recently grown in popularity after winning numerous prizes at the World Beer Awards, including World's Best Ale in 2009. It has notes of candied orange and spices with vanilla wood on the nose and palate. The head is dense and long lasting and there is a definite alcohol warmth to the finish.
